As an Actuary on the Model Risk Team, you will play a key role in assessing and managing model risk across life insurance, long-term care, investment, and corporate functions. You will lead independent model validations, partner closely with model owners and business leaders.
This role offers exposure to a wide range of actuarial, financial, investment, and data science models, along with the opportunity to influence governance, controls, and risk.
What You'll Do
• Lead independent validations of actuarial, finance, investment, and data science models
• Assess whether models are fit for purpose based on design, data, methodology, and outputs
• Provide effective challenge on model assumptions, rationale, reliability, stability, and limitations
• Identify model issues, confirm remediation, and document findings for technical and non‑technical audiences
• Collaborate with model owners, developers, and business leaders to deliver value‑added model risk management
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
• ASA or FSA
• 5-7+ years of experience in Life, Annuity, or Long‑Term Care insurance
• 3+ years of actuarial model development experience
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, R, or SAS)
• Strong knowledge of valuation, projections, experience studies, and pricing models
